Internship Instructor Overview

As the internship instructor, you are a very important link in the internship process. Here are some of the ways that instructors help with the Internship Program:

  • Referrals: Refer students to the Internship Program at the Career Services Center, Admissions 103 (behind Admissions & Records), for internship opportunities.

  • Add Cards: Provide 'admissions cards' for potential interns to enroll in an internship class.

  • Orientation Meeting Referrals: Refer students who have obtained internships to Orientation Meeting. Ask for the Internship Orientation Schedule at the Career Services Center.

  • Learning Objectives: Review and sign-off on your interns' Learning Objectives.

  • Evaluation: Distribute and collect evaluation forms that employers fill out for your students toward the end of the semester.

  • Paperwork: Collect student paperwork and timesheets. Turn in final paperwork and records to the Internship Program staff.
