IMPORTANT!
Please see "How to Enroll in an Internship Class" and "Orientation Schedule" for further information on the current session.

Due to Statewide budget issues, presently we are only able to serve currently enrolled SMC students. A current student is one who has enrolled and completed a minimum of 6 units during the previous fall/spring semester.

Internship Fair 2009 took place on May 7, 2009 in the Campus Quad area.  But the internships are still available to you!!  While the fair is over, many of the internship employers are offering wonderful internships throughout the year.  See below for a list of employers that came to talk to students.  Come to the Career Services Center in LV 161 to pick up a free Internship Fair bookletThe booklet provides instructions on how to apply to these great internships all year long!

WHAT IS AN INTERNSHIP?¹
An internship is an experience where students, while enrolled in college, can gain realistic learning experiences through work. The internship must have educational value for the students employed. The work experience may be paid or unpaid.

There are no class meetings for students enrolled in an internship class. Students are asked to complete online class assignments, and class time is spent at the internship site. Students are required to work a minimum number of hours to receive college unit credit. See Program Information & Hours for further details.

The Internship Program is an integral part of the Career Services Center at Santa Monica College. The Internship Program and Career Services Center are located in Library Village 161, just south of the library and before Pearl Street, at (310) 434-4337
