WHAT IS THE INTERNSHIP ORIENTATION?
This is a
required
meeting for students at the beginning the
internship, before enrolling in the internship class. Students who
have attended an Orientation in a previous semester need not attend
again.
Students receive all the pertinent information regarding
internship responsibilities, how to make the most of
their internship, etc in the Internship Orientation. There are no weekly class meetings for the
internship class. It is an online class.
The Internship Orientation meetings usually take place
at the beginning of each semester, and before the semester begins. The orientations
are normally not for students who are still searching for an internship.
Students who are looking for internship opportunities are invited
to come to the Internship Drop-In Meetings for help! (See Finding
Internship Opportunities)
IMPORTANT
NOTICE!
Students participating in the
Internship Program are required to enroll in 7 or more units at SMC,
including the internship class. During the winter and summer

The first day of the fall
2008 internship session is Monday August 25, and the final day of the
program
is Tuesday, December 16, 2008.
The final date to enroll in
an internship class for fall 2008 is Friday, October 10, 2008. This includes
