Renames Technology Building Drescher Hall
The
SMC Board of Trustees voted last week to rename the Technology
Building -- the largest building on campus -- Drescher Hall
in honor of the late John F. "Johnny"
Drescher, a philanthropist
and generous donor to the college.

SMC Professors Awarded Sabbaticals for 2002-03
Six
SMC professors have been awarded one-semester sabbaticals
for 2002-03 and will pursue a wide range of studies and projects,
ranging from the creation of mixed media artworks to an evaluation
of whether the college can establish an associate's degree
program in forensics.

Retired welding instructor James
O'Neill, who had taught at SMC
