Increases Transfers to UC By Whopping 32%
For more than a decade SMC has been a leader in transferring
students to four-year universities, particularly the University
of California but other also prestigious institutions such
as Occidental (see top.) But the college really outdid itself
in 2001-02.

bond measure approved by Santa Monica-Malibu voters
last March.

SMC Board Endorses Prop.
47
Noting that if it passes SMC
will get $4.58 million toward a new Liberal Arts Building,
the SMC Board of Trustees has voted unanimously to endorse
Proposition 47, the statewide Kindergarten-through-University
bond act that is on the Nov. 5 ballot.
