The Personnel Commission is responsible for setting pay
for positions in the classified service and monitoring the
pay practices of the District. The compensation a position
receives is based on a comparison of the duties and responsibilities
of the job as outlined in its Position Description Questionnaire
(PDQ) compared against market data on salaries of positions
performing similar duties. This process is called compensation
management.
