Mr. Hackett has been working as a part-time Counselor for Santa Monica College since 2001, working in such programs as Pico Partnership On The Move, EOPS, Freshstart and TRIO/Student Support Services. He has also taught the Counseling 1 (Developing Learning Skills) course on numerous occasions. He has been and is currently a Co-Advisor for the Pico Neighborhood Student Association and the Triple "S" Club here at the college. He earned his Masters of Science degree in College Couseling/Student Services at California State University, Northridge. Still, Mr. Hackett is also employed with the California State University system, working as an Academic Advisor for the Educational Opportunity Program.
