JohnDrescher,Santa Monica College is the home of a new, state-of-the-art, computerizedplanetarium theater. At its heart is the Evans& Sutherland Digistar II planetarium projector, thefirst of its kind on the West Coast. Using digital technology,audiences can fly beyond the solar system and soar among the stars.We can transport you across our galaxy to the limits of spacetimeor into the heart of the atom.

Weare open to the public every Friday nights with publicplanetarium shows designed for the whole family.We can also provide weekday special shows for schools and othergroups.

Whereis the Drescher Planetarium? In the middle of the second floorof Drescher Hall (formerly known as the Technology Building) onthe north side of the Santa Monica College campus. Clickhere for a map of our campus. Drescher Hall is thefour story tall green, blue, and white building on the SouthEastcorner of Pico Blvd. and 17th Street. We are in beautiful SantaMonica, south of the 10 (Santa Monica) Freeway and west of the405 (San Diego) Freeway.
