If you are a non-resident student, please note that your fees are payable in cash, by money order, by cashier’s check, or by a personal check drawn on a California bank.

On-Campus Parking Decals

An on-campus parking decal does NOT guarantee you a parking space. What a parking decal does is entitle you to use on-campus student parking areas on a space-available, first-come/first-served basis. Please note that your parking decal is for on-campus parking only—it is NOT a residential (street) parking permit. The parking fee is not refundable after the second week of the Spring semester.

For on-campus parking, you must purchase a campus parking decal for $75 for Spring.

Students who receive benefits under TANF or a general assistance program should contact the Financial Aid Office for a parking fee reduction of $20 for Spring.

Parking decals are not required for the Airport Shuttle Lots or the Airport Campus. Parking at these sites is free. Parking decals ARE required at the Academy of Entertainment & Technology and at the Madison Campus.

Inter-campus shuttle service is free. The “Big Blue” Santa Monica Bus connects the Airport Shuttle Lots and Airport Campus to the Main Campus from 6:45 a.m. to 10:20 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 6:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. A small service shuttle connects the Academy and Madison campuses to the Main Campus from 7:30 a.m. to 5:42 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 7:25 a.m. to 5:35 p.m. Friday. Please see the Commuter Guide for more parking and shuttle information.

Handicap Parking. The display of a DMV handicap placard AND a regular SMC parking decal entitles you to park in any handicap, student, or staff parking space. Persons with temporary disabilities should contact SMC’s Health Services (Nurse’s Office) and apply for a temporary medical parking decal.
