ENGR 12, STATICS 3 UNITS
Transfer: UC, CSU • Prerequisite: Physics 21 and Math 7.
Composition, resolution and equilibrium of coplanar and non-coplanar force systems; 2-D and 3-D pin connected trusses and frames; and moment of inertia of plane areas are studied. This course also includes an introduction to shear and moment diagrams and the method of virtual work. Graphical and algebraic methods of solution will be employed. *See counselor regarding transfer credit limitations.
