SPAIN IN WINTER 2006

This winter, English professor Daniel Cano and History professor Michael Soldatenko will take SMC students on a 21-day study-tour through Madrid and Granada, Spain, visiting the ancient cities of Segovia, Toledo, Cordoba, Sevilla, La Costa del Sol, and Cadiz. Students can earn up to six-units of UC/CSU transferable credit in English and history courses, while studying for one-week in Madrid and two-weeks in Granada. Ski Granada’s famed Sierra Nevada Mountains. Visit the port where Christopher Columbus set sail to the Americas. Walk the halls of the Alhambra, the most exquisite castle in all Europe. Though courses and tours will be conducted in English, here’s your chance to brush up one your Spanish and see Spain at its most beautiful, without the summer crowds.

AUSTRALIA IN WINTER 2006

Experience the sights and sounds of Australia while studying biology and communication at the University of Sydney and the Heron Island Research Station, Gladstone, Queensland. We invite you to join Professors Garens Baghdasarian and Nancy Grass-Hemmert for a three-week study abroad during our winter session (and it’s summer in Australia!). As part of the educational experience, you will visit key places of interest and history throughout Sydney and travel by catamaran to study at the Heron Island Research Station.
