SMC Associates is a community-based support group that brings outstanding professionals and special events to SMC to stimulate student excellence. Associates members receive invitations to special activities and advance notice of lectures by world-class guest speakers. Yearly membership of $100 or more is entirely tax-deductible. The SMC Associates Lectures for Spring 2005 are presented in collaboration with the University of California Press, one of the largest, most distinguished, and most adventurous nonprofit publishers active today, issuing books and journals in the humanities, social sciences, and life sciences.
