SMC Classes

Santa Monica College offers four programs of classes. Academic classes, offered as credit classes for transfer and professional training, are 16 weeks in length for Spring and 6-8 weeks in length for Summer, and cost $26 a unit for California residents. SMC’s Emeritus College, a program designed for older adults, offers free non-credit classes each semester. SMC Continuing & Community Education classes for adults and children are offered on a not-for-credit basis for a low-cost fee, and classes typically start twice a semester.

SMC Online

You can now apply and register online for Santa Monica College classes through SMC’s main website (www.smc.edu), or sign up for a variety of credit classes you can take online through SMC’s Office of Distance Education (SMConline.org). While studying, listen to SMC’s community service public radio station KCRW (www.kcrw.com), now with multiple online audio feeds! And if the virtual world starts to be too much of a good thing, you can always check the listings for SMC’s events at events.smc.edu and make plans to attend… in real life.
