The Teacher Academy supports students thinking about pursuing a career in teaching. Santa Monica College Teacher Academy students exploring professional options in preschool, kindergarten through the 12th grade, special education, or college teaching will receive the following program benefits:
• EPICenter (Education Pathways Information Center): the “one-stop-shop” for all questions, information and resources regarding the teaching profession. Located on the main campus,
Library Village 125.
• Specialized counseling – Our Education counselor will meet with Teacher Academy students to plan the courses you need in order to become a credentialed teacher and provide any necessary assistance to ensure that you progress through the program in a timely manner. To set up an appointment with our counselor:
Come to LV 125 (main campus) or 116B (Bundy campus) and sign up or call

• Teacher Resource Room (a resource library and workroom for current and future teachers) – Located on the
Bundy campus, room 429.
• Fieldwork Experience – Up to 45 hours of transferable education hours! Early Childhood practicum hours! Early Intervention practicum hours (inclusive/special education)!
