Cooperative Work Experience

ON-THE-JOB EXPERIENCE RELATED TO A STUDENT’S MAJOR. SUPERVISION BY EMPLOYER AND THE COLLEGE. This program is designed to supplement classroom instruction with actual experience. A maximum of four units is recommended for transfer.

Requirements:

(1) A minimum of five hours a week of work per unit of work experience credit is required throughout the semester.

(2) The student must be enrolled in courses leading to an occupational major and the work experience must be related to the student’s instructional program.

(3) Students participating in cooperative work experience must be enrolled in at least seven units (which may include units taken for cooperative work experience).
