SMC’s 1,300-seat library offers a comfortable study environment along with the tools and technology needed to learn in an information-rich society. The library features wired and wireless technology, a magnificent 3-level study atrium, and instructional resources in all formats.
Library computers provide public access to nearly 3,200 journals and full-text article databases—and even books—that can be searched electronically. The library also offers:
• A collection of 95,000 volumes,
• More than 200 computers for student use, most available on demand (25 for general public use on an as-available basis), and
• 21 group study rooms for collaborative learning.
Public use of the library is free. To borrow circulating materials, currently enrolled SMC students use their student ID card, and a Community Patron card is available to others for $20 per year. High school students may apply for a free card.
Library hours are subject to change. The library is closed on College holidays and when classes are not in session. Call (310) 434-4334 for details.
