Classes & More

SMC Classes

Santa Monica College offers three programs of classes. Academic classes, offered as credit classes for transfer and professional training, are generally 16 weeks in length in the Fall Semester and 6-8 weeks in length during the Winter Session, and cost $20 a unit for California residents. SMC’s Emeritus College, a program designed for older adults, offers free noncredit classes each semester. SMC Continuing & Community Education classes for adults and children—as well as classes for professional certification and licensure and Continuing Education classes for professionals—are offered on a not-for-credit basis for a low-cost fee, and classes typically start twice a semester.

Fall Semester 2007 starts Mon, August 27, 2007
Winter Session 2008 starts Wed, January 2, 2008
