This is a physical fitness course designed to develop and encourage positive attitudes and habits in a personalized exercise program. The program is designed to work the five health-related components of fitness. The primary training activity is aerobic weight training utilizing a sequence of body specific weight lifting machines and stationary bicycles organized into an “aerobic super circuit.” The aerobic super circuit combines low intensity, high repetition weight training with aerobic activity stations. Additional activity is available in an aerobics machine area (treadmills, steppers, bikes) and a stretching flexibility area.

Traditional and aerobic exercises are used to develop the body while concentrating on specific body areas. One repeat is allowed.

This course is designed to introduce the student to Pilates’ Mat technique of exercise. Pilates is a unique method of body control and conditioning. It consists of stretching and strengthening the muscles, while improving flexibility and balance.
