ECON 900: Economics

This high-school level course is designed to meet the needs of students who wish to earn high school credit for economics. This is an elementary course covering both microeconomics and macroeconomics. Microeconomic topics include supply and demand, elasticity, costs and production, and theory of profit maximization under various market structures (perfect competition, monopolistic competition, monopoly, and oligopoly). Macroeconomics involves study of the overall performance of the economy. Specifically it will cover national income, unemployment, inflation, international economics, and the use of various government policies in combating and minimizing economic fluctuations.
