Dial-in on a Mac

You need to have or get:

Open Transport/PPP

TCP/IP

On the Apple menu scroll down to and highlight Control Panels so that the submenu becomes visible and then scroll down to and select TCP/IP.

When the TCP/IP panel opens up, make sure you are set  to Connect via: PPP and to Configure: Using PPP server.

In the box labeled Name server addr. type in the following 2 lines: 192.92.124.1 and 192.92.124.3

(Note: the figure below may show different numbers, use the ones listed above!)

Now close this window.

A dialogue box will appear asking if you want to change the current configuration.

 

Dialog box: Save Changes to current configuration? prompt.

Choose to Save.

On the Apple Menu highlight Control Panels once more

and now select PPP.

When the PPP panel appears, type in…

Click Connect.

Eventually the bottom of the panel will change to something like this…

(though the numbers may be different).

You are now connected.

You may now access email or use Microsoft Frontpage to edit web sites you have permission to visit..

 

Once you are finished, don't forget to disconnect in the PPP panel.
