THE GOOD WOMAN OF SZECHWAN
By Bertolt Brecht
Three gods descend on a Chinese village looking for a good person. They reward a kind-hearted prostitute who then opens a small business. Her moderate success leads others to take advantage of her charity, so she “invents” a male cousin who operates her business profitably, with no regard for others. We are left to ponder how a good person can survive in a world that is, essentially, not good.

Peddling stolen
refrigerators in the hope of making enough money to open a video store, King

killing and dying in a world where getting is hard and killing is commonplace
are threads woven into this 1980's installment of Wilson’s renowned cycle of plays about the black
experience in America.
