Dear Parents, Family and Friends of our New SMC STUDENTS!

Welcome to SMC!  We encourage you to participate in the VIP Welcome Day events and activities.  We have many workshops that are geared specifically toward answering your questions.  You are free to attend any of the workshops, but the following are some examples of the sessions that are recommended for parents/family: 

.  Financial Aid: Show Me the Money & Avoid the Credit Card Trap

.  How Parents & Significant Others Fit into Their Students’ Lives at College (English and Spanish speaking sessions available)

.  Campus Tours

We also encourage you to take advantage of the Campus Resource fair which will highlight the many offices and departments that are available to ensure the success of your student while they are attending college at SMC.

We hope that the VIP Welcome Day will answer any and all of your questions, while helping you and your student to feel welcome at Santa Monica College.
