Bourbon
Ladies
Nathalie Trytell
I am getting old faster.
I am already a senior citizen at the age of 24
I need the cane
The physical therapy
A young strong man
A cat.
I can even feel my breasts starting to sag and
My mind wandering off.
I collect social security
Go to bars with my pension
Where old men sit, sucking at pipes, 65 years.
Their double-breasted pin striped suits
Old and dusty, like a relic.
I drink bourbon
Straight.
And sometimes
Wonder where the years have gone.
