My Daughter My Son

Carolyn Roper Cordey

My heart, my loves, my soul bleeds for you
My daughter, her gracefulness and honesty
My son, his intensity and humility
My loves you’re my reasons not to quit
I can’t fathom my existence in this life without you for
I try so hard to reach you…my daughter
Pregnant WomanI try so hard to uplift your spirit…my son
Yet have I failed you?

My daughter, you shut me out.
My son, you won’t accept my words.
My daughter – have I intervened too much?
My son – have I stopped being there too soon?
I love you my daughter, my son with all my heart!
I must say this to you as there is no doubt
For my purpose here in this life is much in vain
Without my two loves, my hearts, my shinning stars..
Mom Loves you unconditionally My Daughter, My Son!
