The Beauty In My Eyes

Tami Fawcett

A world that once was so tainted with the filth of violation,
Has now become a blossom opening to swallow the rays of the sun.
My world would not be so precious,
Had I never been silenced by the pain and shame.
And never again will I let the beauty leave my eyes.Key

For I am a prestigious warrior on a quest to cry out with the truth.
We are all joined together with the common bond of life affirming blood
And we have seen the beauty in each other’s eyes
And will never again let silence blind [the eye] to our beauty.
