Women's Panel on Contemporary Women
“Memory Maps”
explores identity through place,
time and memory,
creating
a visual biography, combining ancient mapping imagery with contemporary
text and images. The
process used to create the maps is less concerned with topographical
accuracy than with a more intimate, ancient way of recording history: a
tale woven from images, artifacts, experience and legend.
