1ST ANNUAL FATHERS DAY BEACH          CLASSIC GIRLS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

          JUNE 18, 19, 20, 2004

             AT SANTA MONICA COLLEGE

 

 

ENTRY FEE:             $225. 00.  $20.00 discount for each additional team from same club or organization.

LOCATION               Santa Monica College Gymnasium     1900 Pico Blvd.   

 

DEADLINE               Wednesday June 9, 2004 at 5:00 p.m.     Schedule will be posted  June 11, 2004.   

 

DIVISIONS               Maximum of 8 teams in each group.  Teams will be selected on a

                                    first in and first paid basis.                    

                                    10/U --  5th grade                                

                                    11/U --  6th grade                                 8TH Grade Elite            

                                    12/U  -- 7th grade                                

                                    13/U --  8th grade                                

 

GAMES                      3 games guaranteed.  Format:  2 20 minute halves, clock stops in last two minutes of each half. 

             

AWARDS:                 1st, 2nd, Consolation Team trophies.  Individual awards for  1st place teams.

 

ADMISSION:            Daily Entry for Adults = $3.00   Children under 13 years admitted free!  Fathers of participating players admitted free on Fathers day only!!!

 

 

 

 

FATHERS DAY CLASSIC TOURNAMENT RULES:

 

The following rules apply to all divisions:

 

  1. All teams must be prepared to show proof of grade and age for players to be eligible.

 

  1. Teams must arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled playing time or a forfeit will be called.

 

  1. A team must start a game with 5 players

 

  1. A player cannot be on more than one roster in the tournament.

 

  1. It is the responsibility of each team to control the behavior o their fans.  Any player, coach or parent who demonstrates unsportsmanlike conduct of any kind before, during, or after a game will result in a warning to that team.  Additional warnings may lead to team forfeitures.  This is strictly at the discretion of the officials.

 

  1. Any player, coach, or fan that is ejected from a game is suspended for their team’s next game.  All officials must report ejections immediately following the game to the tournament officials. 

 

  1. Coaches must coach from within their respective coaching boxes.  Failure to do so may result in a technical foul.  Any coach who receives a technical foul during the game must remain seated for the remainder of the game.

 

  1. Only one coach may stand at any time during the game.

 

  1. Coaches may not approach the score table for any reason during play.

 

  1. When making substitutions, players must go to the score table, kneel down and wait for the officials signal to enter the game.

 

  1. Players who are not playing in the next game may not be on the court for any reason.

 

  1. Please exit the court, clean up your bench area following your game so that the next team may prepare for their game.
