Allied Health Career Training

Job Development Incentive Fund (JDIF)

SMC's Office of Workforce and Economic Development is administering an allied healthcare training project funded by the California Community College Chancellor's Office.

This project targets individuals under the Cal-WORKs program or those meeting the state education code definition of 'working poor'. In partnership with local health care providers, SMC seeks to conduct customized certification training services in order to prepare individuals towards the allied health care field. The project strives to meet the ongoing workforce development needs of local health care providers in order to upgrade the provision of care and give workers the services needed to move up their career ladder.
