UCLA Transfer Alliance Program (TAP)
TAP at UCLA
The Transfer Alliance Program is a collaboration between local community college Honors/Scholars Programs and UCLA's College of Letters and Science (with the exception of Communication Studies). The program is designed to encourage academic excellence at the community college level and to promote diversity and retention in the UCLA transfer population. Scholars students who are TAP certified receive priority consideration for admission to UCLA's College of Letters and Science. If admitted, TAP students are eligible to apply for scholarships reserved for the Transfer Alliance Program.
This priority admissions agreement does not extend to majors in any of the other undergraduate schools/colleges at UCLA. However, students pursuing non-College of Letters and Science majors such as Engineering, Music, Nursing, Arts and Architecture, or Theater, Film/Television and Public Policy may obtain TAP certifications for an appropriate alternate major in the College of Letters and Science if the student completes the necessary pre-requisites.
