Fall Professional Day 2021 (Thursday, August 26, 2021)
The SMC Professional Development Committee (PDC) and the Classified Professional Development
Committee (CPDC) organized the Fall Professional Development Day 2021 program. The theme of the Fall Professional Development Day is This is How We Do It: Equity in Action.
Last Spring the focus of the Flex Day was to raise awareness of the Santa Monica College Student Equity
plan. For Fall Professional Development Day the goal is to not just plan and think
about equity but to start taking action. The day will focus on learning specific actionable steps to promote equity across
SMC. To help achieve this goal, the PDC and CPDC have worked together with other key campus stakeholders to develop a virtual program featuring keynote
addresses and participatory workshops.
We hope you enjoy the selection of professional development that we have organized.
All workshops are virtual. Please review the schedule to make your selection. Full
captioned recordings will be posted as soon as available following the event (likely
