with an assigned mentor at the Department of Energy; Participate in workshops designed
to develop well-rounded leaders; Network with experts throughout the Department of
Energy and its national labs; Attend meetings, field trips and planned activities;

Participants selected to participate in this program will be responsible for their
own medical/health insurance
Participants with be provided roundtrip transportation (plane, metro or bus) to and
from their assigned internship site and program lodging accommodations with at least
one roommate
Daily transportation to and from work will be the responsibility of the participant
Undergraduate participants will be provided a stipend, issued biweekly via direct
deposit to a financial institution of participant’s choice
Be at least 18 years of age
Earned at least 24 undergraduate semester units (39 quarter units)
U.S. Citizen
Minimum of a 3.0 overall GPA or above on a 4.0 scale
Demonstrate in the application leadership potential; commitment to public service;
interest in energy-related issues and strong written and verbal communication skills
