The tutoring, I came in not knowing algebra. I saw all the tutors as geniuses. As I completed my engineering degree I realized it was all teachable.

I love being an applications engineer because I get to work with cutting edge technology in a growing field (semiconductors)

Be open to understanding how little you know. There’s always something to learn. Make sure it’s something you enjoy now.

If you had to give advice to yourself when you first started at SMC, what would you say?
Focus more on region than a school. I picked a school right in Silicon Valley and Santa Monica has its own opportunities nearby. Location, networking and diplomacy is far more important than being good at what you do.
