The Santa Monica College club, NOMAS (National Organization for Minority Architecture Students), was formed to enhance and expand the student experience through campus events, site visits, museum and gallery tours, and community involvement. Meetings are open to all and are held on the CMD Campus during school hours weekly.
Affiliated with National Organization for Minority Architects (NOMA), the Club provides members with unique industry focused opportunities such as networking events, design competitions, scholarship opportunities, portfolio reviews and career shadowing. Students are encouraged to join NOMA as Student Members, but membership is not required to join the club.
Santa Monica College and the CMD Campus have also been designated as a NOMAS campus. This allows SMC to play host to NOMA sponsored events, bringing the benefits of membership into our own backyard and presenting our students with a wealth of unique opportunities to further their education and career.
