SMC DPAC Facilities Planning Subcommittee agenda for Thursday, May 10, 2018 (starting at 2:05 p.m. and going until no later than 3:30 p.m.)

LOCATION: Business Building, Room 111 (double-checked the location and confirmed it this time!)

  1. Introductions. Superintendent/President has appointed Erica LeBlanc to chair DPAC Facilities Planning Subcommittee through the end of this academic year.

  2. Public comments (if any) about subjects not on the agenda by non-members not on Facilities Planning Subcommittee

  3. Potential subcommittee recommendation regarding standards or guidelines for water features on SMC property

  • PLEASE READ BEFORE MEETING: Letter to SMC Board of Trustees from SMC advocates for water fountain policy

  • Good reading: Water Feature Design Guide San Diego

  • Interesting reading: section 5 of Green Building WEI Standards Santa Monica

  • Tedious possible reading: section H2 of California Code of Regulations (very similar to City of Santa Monica language … a template)

  • Report and any subcommittee recommendations regarding any District Planning and Advisory Council (DPAC) actions

  • Reports and any recommendations to make on construction activity and other facilities issues, including bond program funding

  • Reports and any recommendations to make on Facilities Master Plan update in progress

  • Reports and any recommendations to make on continuing improvement of SMC facility evaluation methods

  • Future meeting agenda items.

Note: Our Thursday, May 24, 2018 meeting is the last one of this academic year, and it is currently scheduled for Drescher Hall Room 300-E (the Loft, same time as normal).
