Dr. Marziyeh “Marzi” Haghighat is an Associate Professor of Biology at Santa Monica College. She is passionate about creating inclusive, equitable, and student-centered learning environments that help all students succeed. Her teaching experience includes human biology, cell and molecular biology, botany, and environmental science. She is also actively involved in equity-focused professional development and supports faculty in applying Universal Design for Learning and culturally responsive teaching practices.
