Tristan Saldaña teaches composition and critical thinking in English and Psychology, following the trail from story to self to society. He studies rhetoric and narrative alongside linguistic justice and cultural humility, focusing on how language and identity shape the social dimensions of argument. As a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), he draws on psychology and human development to examine pro-social emotions—compassion, gratitude, moral courage—and their role in ethical reasoning and public discourse. He designs gateway courses that expand access, honor diverse linguistic and cultural traditions, and engage intersectional environmentalism as a shared problem of meaning-making.
