Rick Steil

Rick Steil is a photographer, educator, mentor, and coach whose passion for visual storytelling began in high school and has shaped a remarkable international career. After earning a B.A. in Business from the University of Dubuque and a B.A. in Professional Photography from the Brooks Institute of Photography, he worked with leading fashion photographers in New York City before photographing for top magazines and agencies in Paris and Sydney. He later built a successful 20-year career as a fashion photographer in Los Angeles and has spent the past 17 years teaching photography at Palisades Charter High School, where he holds a California’s eminence credential to teach photography for life. Married to Nicole Fitzgerald for 32 years and the father of two sons, Rick is dedicated to inspiring creativity and sharing his lifelong love of photography with others.
