My SMC story is coming into Santa Monica with only a backpack and my tennis rackets from my hometown. I vividly remember catching the sunrise on time. Determination and discipline are what helped me stay on track.
SMC influenced my life and career by introducing me to mentors along the way. It taught me that nothing is impossible or out of reach. My time at SMC also helped me get to where I want to be by encouraging me to enjoy the journey, not the destination, and led me to one of the hardest universities to get into.
I would like to give a shoutout to my coach, Richard, from SMC Women's tennis, for helping me stay motivated on the courts and in school.
