Something you loved about being part of the STEM Program, perhaps a specific memorable experience OR a short reflection of how you've grown since the program?
Everything. The program saved my life. The best part though, was being part of the internship at UCLA. It was the crowning achievement of my life thus far.

A resource or support program that help you in your transition from the community college to your transfer university:
My Physics department advisor has been immensely helpful. I also love SPS (society of physics students) though they didn’t help with transfer specifically. But we have our own common room just for physicists on campus, and that’s been a really nice community and resource.

Any advice to an aspiring physicist:
Tenacity, grit, discipline. Just keep going. Meditation/prayer/mindfulness. Celebrate small victories.
-
Any STEM Shortcuts/hacks you can share?
I found CLUTCH PREP very helpful, but not sure if they’re still around.
-
If you had to give advice to yourself when you first started at SMC, what would you say?
It’s going to suck, but it will be worth it eventually. Just keep going.

Outside of STEM and related activities, what do you enjoy doing?
The Los Angeles metal (music) scene, going to the beach, reading classic novels, learning new languages.
