I decided to attend SMC after having to leave my previous university for personal and financial reasons. I felt lost about continuing my education but SMC completely changed that for me.
Being first generation and undocumented, SMC gave me all the resources necessary for me to continue my path to higher education and supported me in all aspects of life.
I am proud of deciding to continue my education during uncertain moments in my life and continuously challenging myself academically and socially.
SMC provided me with a community of fellow students who aren’t afraid to dream big, professors who opened up my mind, amazing staff, and most importantly lifelong friends.
