    Current employment status.

Working as Quality Engineer at Nikkiso Cosmodyne.

Something I loved about being part of the STEM Program.

Something I loved was having a space on campus, the Stem Lab, where I always knew I could find support and community. It made me realize how important it is to have that 3rd space.

A resource or support program that help you in your transition from the community college to your transfer university.

The peer mentors and alumni were very helpful during the transition. It was cool to know there are other people who went through the same process with success.

What is it like to now work as a chemical engineer in your field?

As an engineer it’s pretty fun to be building plants that help entire communities and countries develop. Traveling around the world meeting different people while working towards the same goals is fun.

Any advice to an aspiring chemical engineer?

Apply to everything you can, don’t reject yourself before letting them say yes. Not everyone gets to work for the big companies and the smaller ones usually have better opportunities.

Any STEM Shortcuts/hacks you can share?

Talk to your professor they want you to be successful.

If you had to give advice to yourself when you first started at SMC, what would you say?

Study more and think about why you are doing things instead of doing it blindly.

Outside of STEM and related activities, what do you enjoy doing?

Collect vinyl and DJing, photography, volunteering, going to Dodger games.
