    Current educational status.

Full time student at SJSU currently.

Something I loved about being part of the STEM Program.

I appreciated the opportunity to work as a Mentor/Tutor and help fellow students enrolled in courses I had completed at Santa Monica College. Further, I learned about some excellent research opportunities to pursue. Since participating in the STEM Program I transferred to San Jose State University, and am majoring in Information Science and Data Analytics (anticipated graduation this coming Fall 2025 term). At SJSU I was recently awarded the President's Scholar distinction for earning a 4.0 grade point average during the Spring and Fall 2024 terms.

A resource or support program that help you in your transition from the community college to your transfer university.

Women Who Code, I served as a volunteer mentor for 2 years.

    Any advice?

Stay focused, keep going, never give up.

Any STEM Shortcuts/hacks you can share?

Remember to take breaks when you need them so you do not burn out!

If you had to give advice to yourself when you first started at SMC, what would you say?

One step at a time, one assignment at a time, do not get discouraged by how far you have to go, be encouraged. Stay disciplined.

Outside of STEM and related activities, what do you enjoy doing?

Prior to returning to school I was a professional ballet dancer, so ballet, and dancing. To name a few activities, I also enjoy boxing, studying Japanese, baking, robotics, meditating, reading, Lego, and going to the roller disco.
