This video is for Windows, but the other operating systems work about the same way.

Start the Microsoft Windows App app for your operating system. A window should open up when the connection is made.

When you are done, log off the virtual computer just like you would on a real computer. Then close the Microsoft Windows app window on your device.

 

Start Citrix Workspace on your device.

It may take a minute to start.

Use the lab "desktop" or "app" that your instructor tells you to.

If you don't see what you need, click on the Settings icon (it looks like a wheel or gear) and select "Refresh Apps".

Which Citrix Workspace "desktop" or app is for which class?

You can only see the "desktops" or "apps" for your enrolled classes. If you have more than one class that uses Citrix Workspace desktops, here are the desktop names and the courses that use them:

You can save your files on your personal Microsoft OneDrive or Google Drive.

If there is a "Log Off" icon on the virtual computer's Windows desktop, double-clicking it should log you out.

You can also click the virtual computer's Microsoft Windows desktop Start button, click your Username icon, and select "sign out".

If you are not actively using the virtual desktop for more than 10 minutes, then you may be  automatically logged off. Please save your files to your personal storage frequently.

If maintenance work is being done on the system, you might be given a 10 minute warning to save your work and log on to a different virtual computer. If you are still logged on at the end of the 10 minute warning period, you will be logged off and no data will be saved.

No, not if you want the data files again. Any work saved on the virtual computer will be erased when you log off or are automatically logged off.

Also, you cannot be sure that you will get the same virtual computer the next time you log in. You cannot pick a specific virtual computer. Login assignment is automatic.
