SANTA MONICA, CA—Santa Monica College (SMC) will be open, and classes in session Wednesday, October 30, based on current air quality.
The college’s emergency management team will continue to monitor the conditions related to the Getty Fire. SMC is using the following agency websites to assess air quality: PurpleAir.com; Airnow.gov; and AQMD.gov.
Santa Monica College’s main and satellite campuses are clear of the mandatory evacuation area of the Getty Fire. Please monitor your SMC email, the official Twitter account @SMC_edu, and the college website smc.edu for the latest updates.
