Engineering and General Science
SMC collegemates and friends Antoine Aoude (Engineering) and Tae Shin Um (General Science) have both returned to take classes on campus at SMC. Since returning, they have enjoyed making new friends, seeing their professors, and being able to participate in in-person labs. “In-person classes have a lot of advantages to interact with professors and classmates frequently,” Tae believes. “If you get stuck while studying, you can discuss or ask each other questions.“ Antoine agrees and adds, “When you realize how fun on-ground classes are, you’re going to be very disappointed that you wasted an opportunity.” When asked if they feel safe being back on campus, they both said they do. Tae says SMC has put a lot of effort into student safety.
