Transfer Preparation
Many colleges and universities offer baccalaureate degrees in this field. Students
planning to transfer to a four-year college or university need to know which courses
completed at Santa Monica College will be accepted at the specific college/university.
Please consult a Counselor. SMC has transfer articulation agreements with the many UC and CSU campuses, as well as several private and out-of-state institutions.
Associate in Science for Transfer - Business Administration
23 units + General Education Requirements
This AS-T degree is geared toward students who want to transfer into an upper-division baccalaureate
program at a California State University (CSU). If you are considering a transfer
to a UC, private, or out-of-state university, please consult a counselor before applying
to transfer, as that institution’s transfer requirements might be different from those
required for the AS-T in Business Administration.
Your early courses will be in accounting and business fundamentals, then you’ll prepare
yourself for a career in global or domestic business by focusing on a particular area

Companies in various industries require employees who have basic business information
systems and bookkeeping skills and can effectively communicate and interact with customers
at an entry-level position.
Certificate of Achievement - Sustainability in Business

This program is designed for students who are interested in pursuing an entry level
job position (or an upgrade of current skills and knowledge base) in the business
field, with a focus on sustainability in business, and need a working knowledge of
the fundamental concepts in this area of sustainability.
