I am not a student but a former SMC manager in the Emeritus College Program.

Associate Dean at SMC.

Earned College Bachelor Degree or higher
What are the top reasons why you value the SMC Emeritus Program?
- I worked in the program from its inception.

Pearls of Wisdom: What advice would you give your 18-year-old self?
- Take the risk if you are offered an interesting opportunity and don't worry too much about change.
How would your advice to your 50-year-old self differ?
- Do it now. Don't wait. Don't dither. Try it. You'll survive.
What are some of your biggest accomplishments in life?
- As a young adult, completing my college degree and becoming a teacher. Then to complete two masters degrees while working and raising a daughter.
The SMC Emeritus Program has helped me as a lifelong learner because you never stop learning whether you are a student, a teacher, or a staff member. The goals are always changing, stretching and responding to the needs of the program.
The best part about being an SMC Emeritus student is (not a student but it applies any way) it's an opportunity, take it.
