    Earned College Bachelor Degree or higher.

    What are the top three reasons why you value the SMC Emeritus Program?

    1. I value the SMCEP because of it’s accessibility to great courses
    2. Excellent instructors
    3. Exceptional administrative/office staff that make participation fun and worthwhile!

    Pearls of Wisdom: What advice would you give your 18-year-old self?

    • Remember that procrastination is the thief of time! Always try to associate with people who inspire and motivate you!
    • Never stop learning 

    How would your advice to your 50-year-old self differ?

    It wouldn’t differ much! Know people by their works and not by their words!  

    What are some of your biggest accomplishments in life?

    • Meeting my wife Cora & 45 years of marriage 
    • Helping raise 4 adults and 2 grandchildren
    • Wrote/Performed an Award winning historical   musical called “North On South Central Ave”
    • Working in film and television for over 25 years with some iconic actors. 
    • Being able to live in Santa Monica for 40 years despite the ridiculous cost of living in this town!
    • Being vibrant and still learning at age 70! 


    The SMC Emeritus Program has helped me as a lifelong learner because I really enjoy learning and it allows me to do so at my own pace and it’s very economical Thank you SMCEP.

    The best part about being an SMC Emeritus student is that it allows me to keep living my best life!  Learning is essential and keeps me busy and young at heart!
