Pearls of Wisdom: What advice would you give your 18-year-old self?
- Take responsibility for your action; don't be afraid to fail as failure is a stepping stone to success; and if you have a broken dream, then build a new dream.
What are some of your biggest accomplishments in life?
- Children's success.
- Able to fulfill my dreams even though I was a penniless refugee.
- Gained respect from the community, and helped the needy.
The SMC Emeritus Program has helped me as a lifelong learner because there was a great instructor (Monona Walli) to help me improve my writing.
The best part about being an SMC Emeritus student is establishing deep friendships with the other students and instructor.
