for College Employees

Need a new email and/or network account?

A network account lets you login to campus computers and access restricted web pages.

The same user name/password also accesses email if you request both.

This cannot be done until HR has entered all employment information.

First login after account creation or password reset

  • Your user name is generally LastName_FirstName. For example smith_john.

  • If you are a district employee, your initial password would be:
    where santamonica is in lower case, followed by hyphen (or dash), followed by the last four digits of your Social Security number. For Example: santamonica-1234. 

  • For non-district employees, a randomly generated password will be included in the account notification message sent to your personal email address.
  • The first time you login at, you will be prompted to go through the on-boarding process and will be required to create a new password.

  • Passwords must be at least 12 characters long and have at least one upper case letter, one lower case letter and one number.
